Paul Ryan: “Identity politics has gotten out of control”
« on: October 21, 2017, 04:16:13 pm »
Quote
It takes ten minutes exactly for this moment to arrive, but it’s worth sitting through the rest to get a better sense of the tax-reform package that will inevitably crash and burn by the end of the year. We’ll get back to that, but House Speaker Paul Ryan offers a compelling and succinct broadside on identity politics and its corrosive nature, no matter who plays it. When asked about George W. Bush’s speech yesterday, Ryan notes that he hasn’t seen it yet, but laments the slide of American politics into a combat between aggrieved identity groups rather than a healthy debate and contest over actual policy.......

Whatever.

That would have been a useful observation had he made it years earlier, before he started caving to every liberal Democrat position he could when he became Speaker.

I will NOT comply.

This is the same guy that made Joe Biden look like a member of MENSA when they had their VP debate.

Paul Ryan is definitely part of the problem not the solution!
"I wish it need not have happened in my time," said Frodo.

"So do I," said Gandalf, "and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us."

I am inclined to agree, ID politics should have been denounced when Zero was
using them to divide the country. Now it's too little too late. The divide is just to
great now to be bridged. Either the progressives win or the conservatives win.
The battle lines are drawn.

Paul Ryan: “Identity politics has gotten out of control”

No sir.
You are off by 180 degrees.

The notion of "identity politics" has -always- been a factor amongst minorities in this country, as it is in ALL countries of The West.

What has changed in the past five years or so, and is continuing to change, is that finally Euro-Americans (well, ok, whites) are beginning to understand the as much, and as a result, are increasingly cohering into an "identity" of their own.

This was a major factor in Donald Trump's victory last November, although many to the right of the centerline still refuse to open their eyes when the subject is raised, preferring to attempt to shout the notion down -- as if they were a part of the left themselves.

Such "identity" is the way by which Euro-Americans can reassert their right to dominance in America in the next few decades to come, and perhaps longer.

Call it a "restoration", if you wish -- back to the normalcy that was taken for granted as recently as the early 1950's.

I welcome it.

It's not about race, it's about acknowledging the superiority of Western Civilization.
