The NFL owners could put an immediate end to this nonsense by telling their players to stand and respect the national anthem or be cut - i don't see any other way to do it at this point.
It could be done easily another way.
The +90% that choose to honor the flag and country could do some 'locker room persuasion' to the dissidents. The livelihood of all is being risked, and most players see the few are endangering the many out of a job or lower paychecks.
The fact at this point they do not quell the disruption at this point speaks to silent agreement for the most part, and a complicity to it.
