At the end of their lengthy editorial regarding the new Uranium One revelations --  "Team Obama's stunning coverup of Russian crimes" -- the New York Post editorial board writes:

    Until September 2013, the FBI director was Robert Mueller — who’s now the special counsel probing Russian meddling in the 2016 election. It’s hard to see how he can be trusted in that job unless he explains what he knew about this Obama-era cover-up.

I'll go the Post one better. Virtually whatever Mueller has to say about his involvement or non-involvement in this metastasizing scandal, he must recuse himself immediately for the most obvious reasons of propriety and appearance.

He doesn't have to recuse himself.  Sessions and Rosenstein knew full well of his involvement; especially Rosenstein and you can't tell me that Sessions didn't have a clue.

This story needs to blow up the news services.   If there were Republicans involved,  it would be the number one story in the nation.

Mueller is registered Republican. Comey was Republican before 2016 and is now Independent.

I don't think either Mueller or Comey are big players in this scandal. Mueller may be tangentially related to it, and I would certainly say enough to taint his investigation,   but for the real targets,  I was of course referring to the Clintons and their foundation.

Doubt that ... Sessions ignored the President's first call for him to get off his arse.

I'm starting to wonder just how deeply plugged into the deep state the AG is -- after 20 years in the Senate.  His former colleagues sure jumped to Sessions's defense when the President questioned the AG's effectiveness.

People say I never criticize Pres. Trump. Watch as I prove them wrong. Sessions is the worst mistake Donald Trump’s made in office. And what’s worse, it appears Trump’s recused himself from fixing his mistake.

Not only did Sessions punk out on the Russia fiasco, giving up control of events, but in media interviews he appears tired, old and weak.

Fire Jeff Sessions, Mr. President.
