Try to avoid costumes that could be perceived as cultural appropriation.Yandy

One of the best parts of Halloween is dressing up in a creative costume. But, as some celebrities have already shown us, certain seemingly clever costumes can actually be problematic.

Some common Halloween costumes simply take it too far and can become racist, misogynistic, or downright insensitive.

I think we better cancel Halloween.  We wouldn't want people to actually have some fun.

"Cultural appropriation" is another one of those phony issues that seems to have taken root with the mentally deranged aka liberals.
How many of them really believe this is some sort of problem is not quite set. But the idea that some "minority" or member of some non-white ethnicity would be upset because some person from another ethnicity/country wears some of their garb is to question whether liberals have lost all their marbles.
Certainly, if any "minority" members are upset because people not of their ethnicity wears clothing based on the attire of the minority persons, the minority persons have revealed they are not competent to dwell in a modern, civilized society.
Should Americans be upset if they discover some people in China go to parties dressed as American cowboys? Who really gives a good g-d*** if they do?
How can a sane person really be distraught because a person from another country or ethnicity wears some of their garb?
This issue might be the tipping point where it could become legal to round up people worrying about this phony issue and forcibly keep them away from sane people.

Completely insensitive to those who suffer from IBS!

Now that I know I'm not allowed to pretend to be a person from an ethnic, racial or cultural group other than my own, for fear of offending the living daylights out of anyone, I've decided to dress up for Halloween as a white female Presbyterian of mostly English ancestry, carrying a casserole en route to a church pot luck dinner.

That's exactly the point. The Left has no sense of humor at all. But of course, Nazis were never known for their ability to relax and have fun.

The one that made me laugh was when they said dressing up in stripes makes fun of criminals. Hahaha, yeah, dumbass, that's the whole point.

I went to a party as a convict a few years ago which is why this hit home for me. Never crossed my mind in a million years that anyone could ever be "offended" by it. It was just fun. LOL

You cannot "COEXIST" with people who want to kill you.
If they kill their own with no conscience, there is nothing to stop them from killing you.

It depends.  Did I wash my good jeans or not, and if I didn't can I bear the thought of wearing heels with a dress?  (But, it's a small rural church.}

I'll check my closet later.

(Truth be told, I walked away from the MethHeads many years ago because they went from being Socialists to outright Communists.)

I left the Episcopal Church for the Methodists for the same reason.  Rural realities seem to help temper the communist tendencies.

Hey, what do you guys think, while we're on the subject of Halloween costumes.  I'm looking for a new Avatar.  Should I go for something really scary, like this:

No, dressing up like a salt-monster is appropriating the salt-monster culture.  Shame!

So...which kitty cat do you like?
