Rand Paul: I golfed with Trump because he's a personal friend

President Trump and Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., had a productive meeting Sunday while playing golf at one of Trump's courses in Virginia, the senator's spokesman said in a statement.
"Sen. Rand Paul considers President Trump a personal friend," Sergio Gor, a spokesman for Paul, told reporters traveling with the president. "They had a great time playing today and discussed multiple initiatives that they can work on together going forward."
Trump and Paul have had an adversarial relationship occasionally since the president beat out the libertarian during the 2016 Republican primary.
