President Donald Trump Defends Defunding Intl Planned Parenthood: We Must “Protect the Unborn”

President Donald Trump defended his pro-life views and actions as president during an address to thousands of pro-life advocates during today’s Values Voters Summit in Washington, D.C.

“We cherish the sacred dignity of every human life,” Trump told the pro-life advocates in attendance. “We are all made by the same God in heaven.”

Trump also defended his decision to defund International Planned Parenthood, saying he did so to protect babies from abortion.

why is it only the "International" Planned Parenthood that Trump objects to?  Why not also the domestic/USA Planned Parenthood?

Trump does not fund domestic programs Congress does. I see rather then be happy

Where, exactly, is Trump calling for Congress to defund Planned Parenthood in America?  Maybe I missed it.  But it seems to me that instead, I have seen Trump praising Planned Parenthood in America.... so no will to 'defund' it thus far.   Again.... it's the hypocrisy (stupid).

That's right, @jpsb is absolutely correct.

Because congress/the Senate could not undo the healthcare bill as well, domestic Planned Parenthood continues to be funded, let alone, the Democrats and a few senators like Collins and Murkowski would vote for the funding to continue.

If one reads those websites like lifenews, lifesitenews and live action news with Lila Rose, one learns a bit about the ins and outs of the pro-life causes.

For what the executive branch can do, the presidency gave back the rights to the state to defund state planned parenthood (federal monies funneled to the states); now, as per article in this forum, Texas may well have the right to be reimbursed of millions of dollarsbecause of their defunding of PP.

I admit.... I don't understand all of the mysterious workings of government in DC... but it seems to me that somebody is dropping the ball .... or presenting false facts..... or both.

Found this.... and while it looks like Trump is, indeed, for defunding PP.... I still don't see him doing anything other than paying 'lip service' to the goal.   Making deals with the Democrats to increase the debt ceiling, instead of pushing for PP defunding, is what I am seeing. 

And whatever happened to this?  Didn't happen.  Right?
