Stop living in fantasy land.   The left OWNS football

It's the fans that make or break football (duh) via their $$$.  And most of those fans are NOT representative of the radical left.  The radical left doesn't OWN the American tradition of football.  Seems to me that you're the one living in fantasy land.

Just saw where virtually 50% of all NFL players are convicted felons.

We should do a 'study' on the police records of those who participate in this Anthem protest.

Pence was in a sport coat at the least at the Colts game versus wearing Indianapolis Colts merchandise as in the picture. Anyone can see that.

I've even seen stories written up on those who post tweets to politicians' twitter pages. It's laughable to find something sinister in this now.

Kinda stupid of Trump..... unless one considers and remembers what his political background 'was'.
@XenaLee
@RoosGirl

Don't fall into Trump causing chaos just to cause chaos.  Trump doesn't care about the flag or football players.  He just did that to create chaos.  Then, people think it is "something" and they get all excited about it as if it mattered and the whole country gets divided - so Trump got the news to be all about him and the flag and football players for days.  He will find another something to cause chaos in a few days.  See, it has been chaos since he went into office and it will stay that way until he leaves.  He also has the Corker attack going.  Now, Trumpers think that is something and are attacking Corker.

Trump is like a two year old having a temper tantrum.  As long as you react to the temper fit, it keeps going.  If you ignore the fit, the kid stops because he isn't getting attention anymore.  People, unfortunately, will continue to fall into a Trump temper fit as if it mattered, and keep responding to it and Trump gets the attention 24/7.

@XenaLee

It's already trickled down to the High School level.  Look at those two Dallas area kids who were kicked of the team for their protest stunt.

Then there's the catcher for the Oakland A's.

Gonna be interesting to see what happens when the NBA regular season kicks off.

Just reading the last 2-3 pages of this thread.... there are some people here in serious denial about what is really going on with this flag/anthem/football issue.   It's obvious that they have NO CLUE about the reality that this is just another radical left agenda item.  And yes, it will filter down to college and high school (ALL football).... and then on to other American sports.... if it isn't stopped in its tracks now.   And I predict that, due to all of this cluelessness (dumbed down Americans)... the left will succeed.  There's not enough folks able or willing to think outside the box they've been trained to "think" in, sadly.

Your fall back when someone disagrees with you is getting pretty old.  Time to come up with new material.  You're smarter than this.

If one is correct, why does one have to come up with "new material"? That seems
to me like dodging the issue.

Didn't Tom Price just have to step down for wasting tax payer dollars like this?

In his political career Mike Pence represented Indiana's 2nd congressional district, Indiana's 6th congressional district, and was governor of Indiana.

I think if the Vice President wanted to see this game in his home state, honoring Peyton Manning, it’s not up to me or you to second guess that.

So all that desperate democrats and NeverTrumpers are left with is counting up how much fuel the Vice President wasted.

Weak, really weak.

How old are you?   Seriously?  Do you really think it would stop at professional football?  When, in your life, has the left .... the radical left.... ever not taken things all the way to insanity and beyond?  No, they will go on to destroy college football as well.  Get.... a.....  clue.

And how would rolling over & ignoring the left's politicization of the NFL help save our traditions?

Because with a few exceptions the members here are not leftists, and those of us that think that Fed Gov should keep the hell out of private business and stupid publicity stunts like this one are not any of those exceptions.

It very much is the right of people to second guess their Government.

And if that's all it had been I'd have no problem with that.  IN fact it was yours truly that pointed out why he was there in the first place.

But Donny wasn't content with letting Pence do what he ostinsibly went there for int he first palce.

There seems to be a lot of confusion here.  No one is saying they agree with the whole kneeling thing.  I think some people are willfully confusing what the real issue is.

Destroying the NFL and football in Amerika was one of the leftists' fondest dreams.

Since when is "destroying the NFL" one of the leftists fondest dreams?

If the NFL allows its' employees to disrespect the flag, country and vets during
working hours then the NFL has earned all the contempt coming its' way.

Trump and Pence are right to speak out against players and owners that allow
this dis-respectable behavior. I'm sorry to see you siding with BLM/Antifa who are
encouraging the player protests along with a bunch of other cultural Marxists.

And how would rolling over & ignoring the left's politicization of the NFL help save our traditions?

Who is asking anyone to "roll over and ignore" what the leftists are doing?  I would expose the aholes for what they are and for what they're attempting to do.  Put it "on record" that the left is behind this, yet another attempt to destroy Americana, and make it an issue for the American public to decide on from a position of knowledge, vs. the position most of them are in currently.... which is delusion, denial, ignorance, dis/misinformation and complete CLUELESSNESS.

Here's the problem.   If the Trump fans/supporters/populists, who also are NFL football fans, help the left to destroy the NFL via their boycott.... they will only be hurting themselves and America by helping destroy yet another American tradition.   Information and communication is key.... as always.   Let the people know what's really behind this anthem BS.  And no, it's not just to show disrespect or disapproval of Donald J. Trump.  If only it were that simple.

Do I have that correct?

Communication will mean nothing if the NFL does not feel pain as a consequence of their willing dive into politics. Whats more, if the NFL chooses to allow their flashy platform to be used to preach self hating progressivism then, call me what you want, I won't join you in mourning their passing.

BTW I said nothing about anyone showing disrespect to Trump. Why add that nugget?

No, you are incorrect again.  The people doing the kneeling are idiots and I severely disagree with them.  I am not interested in NFL so there's no further "protest" that is worthy my getting involved in.  I condemn Fed Gov for becoming as involved as it has; the tweets, the staged walk-out, etc.

You really do need to get out (of your "shell") more.... :silly:

Only, it's not the NFL .... it's a few players on a few teams.   Certainly not ALL of the players on ALL of the NFL teams.  Yet... you would seek to punish, penalize and destroy the entire league .... just like the radical anti-American leftists?

Speaking out is one thing.  Calling for a boycott of the NFL, which is essentially what Trump has done, is entirely another thing....which is playing right into the left's paws.

http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2017/sep/24/donald-trump-urges-nfl-boycott-over-national-anthe/

You're the one siding with BLM/Antifa by applauding the destruction of the NFL, which is their goal.  I'd tell you to get a clue... but what's the use.

Well I sure do hear a lot of leftest talking points.

Has President Trump taken any federal action against the NFL? No, he simply used
his right of free speech to express a point of view shared by most Americans. Most
Americans do not like NFL employees disrespecting the flag, country and those that
fought for the same. While they are at work.
