Trump Advisers Floating Idea of Replacing Tillerson With Pompeo

Some of President Donald Trump's advisers are talking about the idea of replacing Secretary of State Rex Tillerson with CIA Director Mike Pompeo, Axios reports.

The idea follows an NBC News report that Tillerson had been on the verge of resigning over policy differences with Trump and had referred to the president as a "moron."

Tillerson has denied he had ever considered stepping down and his spokesperson said he never described Trump as a "moron," The Hill noted.

It is true President Trump likes Pompeo a lot and that the two are said to get along great. I think Trump also likes that Pompeo is a no nonsense guy and loyal to his boss.

On the other side, Tillerson’s performance has been underwhelming and the President famously doesn’t keep anyone around long if he thinks that they aren’t performing up to snuff.

It’s anyone’s guess.

Yet, I really haven't seen Tillerson do anything that a was a fire-able offense, unless that "moron" thing is true.
