Democrats Threaten to Regulate Twitter

Two House Democrats have written a letter to Twitter’s Jack Dorsey, threatening “increased regulations” if Twitter fails to crack down on objectionable speech. Bridget Johnson reports at PJ Media:

Why is this news?  They're democrats.  Regulating free speech is their birthright.

Um...doesn't our Constitution give us freedom of speech? Oh yeah, that's right.  The Constitution isn't fashionable anymore and should be discarded.

Washington is eager to regulate every aspect of our lives.  Before long, they will want to regulate our bowel movements.

In the old days, I would say such an idea (regulating Twitter) would never happen.  Now I'm not so sure.  Both parties crave absolute power over the rest of us.

That isn't what they consider to be "objectionable".  Along with the new regulations is an expectation that these same liberals anoint themselves to be the arbiters of what is objectionable.

It is the same tactic they use with religion and schools.  Humanism is forced upon students (by black-robed liberal tyrants) while anything else is prohibited as being objectionable.
