It's all up to the listener but one thing I know is that you don't hear female vocal back up like you do in some of the old songs and that makes them gems... as in ... (and I'm not going to repost Johnny Horton those are in the "Share" thread but his songs did it well too such as "The Mansion You Stole", great backing female chorus or vocals):

Error 404 (Not Found)!!1No female choruses, I think those were already starting to disappear in the '70s, Earl Thomas Conley left the central country music industry because he thought the modernity and commercialism wasn't too good, some harken back to Patsy Cline, etc. and that is good.

Compare to Gram Parsons' "Return of the Grievous Angel":
"...and the man on the radio won't leave me alone". I've got to think Gram Parson heard Connie Smith's song of a few years before, not a big deal.
