Kasich: If GOP "can't be fixed," I can't support it
« on: October 01, 2017, 09:58:22 pm »
Quote
"If the party can't be fixed ... I'm not going to be able to support the party. Period. That's the end of it ... But have I given up? No," Ohio Gov. John Kasich said to CNN's Jake Tapper Sunday.

The bottom line: Kasich has been one of President Trump's most vocal opponents within the party, and some point to him as a likely primary challenger in 2020. But Kasich seems to be toying with the idea of leaving the GOP entirely — though he said for now he remains committed to trying to change it from within.

please, John do it.  We need less of you than ever.

I don't think we can tolerate any more of Kasich's fixes. :facepalm2:

Exactly.  Kasiich and people like him are the disease from which the GOP needs to recover if I am ever to rejoin.

Kasich wants to change the party from within?  Why bother?  It's already as liberal as he is.

Kasich has still done more on social issues than Fred Cruz, whose garbage we are suppose to worship as a true conservative.

You're right John, the GOP can't be fixed and there are going to millions who rejoice when you leave; just as we will when McCain and McConnell retire (one way or the other).

I Believe in the United States of America as a Government of the people, by the people, for the people; whose just powers are derived from the consent of the governed; a democracy in a republic; a sovereign nation of many sovereign states; a perfect union one and inseparable; established upon those principles of freedom, equality, justice and humanity for which American patriots sacrificed their lives and fortunes.  I therefore believe it is my duty to my country to love it; to support its Constitution; to obey its laws to respect its flag; and to defend it against all enemies.

A liberal like Kasich would do more on social issues than a Conservative like Cruz would, or do you just not understand Conservatism?

Kasich and most politicians talk in generalities. No specifics.

So what is it, John? The GOP is "too conservative," for your tastes?

Or is it "too populist?"

Kasich: If GOP "can't be fixed," I can't support it...

Please don't, Mr. Kasich.
Your kind of "fixes", we don't need.
Just go... and be gone.
