Among his other tweets over the last 48 hours, Trump said the ratings for NFL football were “way down except before game starts, when people tune in to see whether or not our country will be disrespected!”........The final viewership numbers based on projections from Fox Sports vice president of research Mike Mulvihill are that the NFL games from Sunday and Monday were up 3% in aggregate over Week 3 in 2016. NFL spokesperson Brian McCarthy also confirmed those numbers. On Tuesday afternoon, CBS said its NFL coverage on Sunday drew 17.9 million viewers, up 2% from a year ago......https://www.si.com/tech-media/2017/09/26/nfl-ratings-increase-donald-trump-comments-monday-night-football
Boycott? Monday Night Football posts best ratings of the season to dateHow to square this with the emerging “boycott is happening” narrative from Sunday’s NBC and Fox ratings? It’s possible that a bunch of casual fans who normally don’t watch tuned in last night to see if there’d be a pre-game protest, artificially inflating the ratings. But if that were true, Sunday’s ratings should have been up too....https://hotair.com/archives/2017/09/26/boycott-monday-night-football-posts-best-ratings-season-date/
Of course they improved, it was the friggin' Cowboys.
The most hyped game of the year, with people watching to see just how the baby gets split.
One thing's for sure: Jerry Jones attempt to play Solomon was a major fail, IMO.
I think it was, while others posting think it was the greatest compromise since the Constitution. I say, "How many Dallas Cowboys stood at attention with their hand over their hearts during the Anthem?" First they said "Screw the Police" by taking a knee (without a prayer), then said "Screw the flag" by standing with their arms locked. Some compromise. Somehow saying "Screw you" twice as a team makes it all better.
I suffered NFL withdrawal symptoms for a few hours over the weekend but I'm all better now! The can ALL go to hell and they can take the NBA with them as far as I'm concerned! And furthermore I'm sick to death of my tax money subsidizing the worthless bastards!
Switch over the College Football, and you will find more entertainment with the fan base, true excitement of the players, and even announcers who do football rather than politics. When players act up, they get banned, not feted.
We'll see, I'm expecting some shenanigans this weekend in College Football.
