Sen. Bob Corker (R-Tenn.) on Tuesday announced he will not run for reelection next year.

"After much thought, consideration and family discussion over the past year, Elizabeth and I have decided that I will leave the United States Senate when my term expires at the end of 2018," Corker said in a statement.

Corker, the chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, is the first senator of the current Congress to announce he will retire.

He's only 65. In terms of the average age of people in the Senate, he's a young pup. Hell, if you're not at least 80, you can't even buy a beer in the Senate.
