U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions visited San Diego Wednesday to draw attention to an issue he has touted for years — and it wasn’t illegal immigration enforcement.
Instead Sessions spoke about the importance of stemming the flow of illegal narcotics into the U.S., by land and sea, and promoting the Trump administration’s turn to a renewed war on drugs — a turn that has been criticized by advocates and criminal justice experts.
