  • I don't believe in Trump anymore, he's an illusion

@GtHawk

So you ain't got nothing. Just like lying Ted.
The whole thing has been hashed, rehashed and over and under hashed so many times that it is pointless, and really anyone that has so bought into the Lyin Ted dogma from one someone who would give Obama a good race for the title of sleaziest campaigner wouldn't and couldn't see the truth anyway.

So have a nice piece of pie

Don't show your ignorance....

unless ya just can't help it.

I'm not a NeverTrumper (duh).

I just don't fall for all of the BS about all that he has 'done'.  I'm not seeing it.

And again.... all the deflection in the world won't help you EverTrumpers fool folks into not believing that your hero, Lyin Don, hasn't done squat towards most (if not all) of his campaign promises.

Psst - Hint:  Ted Cruz ain't the president.   What the hell relevance is he to this discussion?

Ok, I'll ask.

Other than "proposing" actions....and other than "announcing" actions he plans to take.... what has he actually accomplished towards those promises?  In other words... what real and solid progress has he made on fulfilling those promises?

Point by point:

Has that Constitutional Amendment for term limits been passed yet?  Has it even been brought up for passage yet?

Naming China a currency manipulator...has accomplished what, exactly.  To me it seems like it's a "no duh" moment.  What has his Treasury Secretary actually accomplished via this "naming"?

Appointed Jeff Sessions who would indeed lock her up?  That's the most asinine and laughable claim YET.  I advise you not to hold your breath for that to occur...for your own health and safety's sake.

Get us on a path to eliminate the debt?  How?  By making "deals" with the Democrats that automatically raise the debt ceiling.... which ....coincidentally...equates to increasing that debt?  Another laughable moment.

Drain the swamp???  Seriously???  What, exactly, has Trump done towards draining the swamp?  I have to ask...since all I've seen is Trump doing things to add TO that swamp.  He may be changing out the dirty water, but he sure as hell ain't "draining" it.

How, exactly, is he getting Mexico to pay for the wall?  Be specific.  Cause... last I checked...Mexico even rescinded on Harvey aid they had pledged.

There will never be a constitutional amendment with term limits.  Because the people who would have to vote on it want to die in their Senate seats (and the sooner the better.)

And I might point out that Trump did not fill the swamp ... Obama filled it and it took him 8 years to get it full.  I think Trump has drained a pint or two out of it.

Getting Mexico to pay for the wall was just hot air but Mexico could be forced to pay for it in other ways.  (I hate to diss Mexico right now when they're suffering but I'm talking about the government not the people.)

As far as that debt ceiling vote, it was a 3 months raise and a drop in the ocean.  It was done to fund help for the two states devastated by hurricanes.

If anyone ever believed that Hillary would be 'locked up' I feel sorry for them.  Hillary will pay but maybe it will be in the next life.

Jeff Sessions is serious about removing DACA.  That is at least one thing we can say for him.

The enemy of my enemy is my friend.  Trump is a million miles from perfect but he's also a million times better than Obama and Hillary.

No, I never believed that Hillary would be locked up, but I would have loved to have seen it.  Still would.  It makes me smile just imagining her being perp-walked.  We're entitled to our fantasies.

Absolutely !!  And it's infuriating that Hillary is now doing a victory tour with the late night talk show people.  Remember when they used to be funny?  It's been a while.

There's a large group of people who haven't realized yet how much people cannot stand them.  Overpaid and entitled football players.  Overpaid and entitled actors and singers.

But disastrous ratings and loss of money might eventually get through to them.

It might.  I no longer go to the theater.  I no longer watch professional football.  I no longer watch news channels.  I'd be here all day if I listed all of my "no longers ". LOL. Life is too short for the aggravation,.

No constitutional amendment on term limits, that's one promise down.

Trump has hired a ton of Goldman Sachs folks (you know....the outfit he bashed Cruz over being connected to via his wife's JOB?) to his admin... not to mention other "liberals".  If that isn't 'refilling' the swamp, I don't know what is.

Mexico was never going to pay for the wall.  And Trump is looking to "fix" DACA.  Offhand, I'd say Mexico will be laughing all the way to the bank on that one.

The debt ceiling raise was a blatant giveaway to the rats, since that hurricane relief bill would have passed without it.  Even the rats aren't bold enough to turn down relief to states devastated by "globull warming" (lol).

Trump used the implication that he would go after Hillary and played it for all it was worth with his supporters.  It worked.  But let's face it... even an implication, when insincere, equates to a lie.  He never intended to lock her up.

DACA won't be "removed".  It will be fixed.  Six months from now, those people will be given rights that they didn't earn by being here legally.

Yeah....but the "at least Trump ain't Hillary" meme is wearing a bit thin with me these days.... since it's three months short of a year now... and I don't see much happening towards those "Conservative values" Trump supposedly embraced.  I do see a lot of uncertainty and chaos, still.   Not...good.

I know all that but the 'at least Trump ain't Hillary' still works for me.

I think some good things have happened and I think more will happen.

What good does it do to get all het up that Trump didn't live up to our expectations.  Most of us had very low expections and he has exceeded mine.

I'm not giving up hope. It may take a while, these things have a way of slowly unraveling. But the more distance there is from the election, the weaker Hillary becomes. So there may yet come a day when the empress has no clothes.

I was sitting in an icehouse with some friends of mine, and the Texans were losing pretty bad.

So I broke out in song:

"Houston has the Oilers, the greatest football team, they move the ball from goal to goal, like no one's ever seen..."

Everybody cracked up, and said, "Yep, we miss those days".

I hear you but I will never stop watching my Dallas Cowboys.

I haven't seen a single game this year.  I had already pulled away from it quite a bit due to the pink breast cancer BS, but the NFL has gone to hell in a hand basket.  I'd rather be out doing something fun that is good for my health as opposed to jumping up and down on the sofa hurling invectives at the TV.  My resting heart rate has thanked me for it.

I have pulled into a few sports bars claiming to be hungry and desirous of a beer or three while on my bike so that my husband can covertly watch it while I pretend to be clueless that it is on the TV.  I'm not completely heartless.   :silly:

Mine isn't trained.  He just knows when I say I'm not doing something anymore, I'm not doing it.  If I leave to go ride or whatever, he must want to go.  If not, he wouldn't come with me.  He's perfectly free to stay if he wishes.
