Chuck Schumer says bipartisan Obamacare talks will resume

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer praised Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., for announcing a vote against a bill to partially repeal Obamacare and promised to resume bipartisan negotiations to stabilize the troubled law.
"John McCain shows the same courage in Congress that he showed when he was a naval aviator," Schumer, D-N.Y., said. "I have assured Senator McCain that as soon as repeal is off the table, we Democrats are intent on resuming the bipartisan process."
Senate talks halted last week on legislation to shore up Obamacare with additional stabilizing funds as the GOP appeared poised to pass legislation that would repeal Obamacare and replace it with a block grant program for states to control.
McCain's "no" vote, however, seriously imperils passage of the bill, which makes it more likely lawmakers will resume bipartisan talks.
