Why isn't Trump's justice department doing something about it?

Because he's got an adversarial Republican Congress, that's why.   But you knew that!   ^-^

What?

The justice department is under the executive branch. He requires no approval from congress at all.

My point is that without cooperation from THE JUSTICE DEPARTMENT, the FBI, NSA....nothing can ever happen to the Clintons.

Bosses come and go.   Ask Barack.

I suppose, then, what we need is a President truly committed to law and order and who will name similar-minded people to head up his law and order organizations such as the Department of Justice and the FBI.  I had really hoped that Trump (and his Justice Deparment) really would "lock her up" as he promised. I'm sure a good dig into the Clinton Foundation would have swept up a whole bunch of people, probably including Bill. Oh well, another missed opportunity IMO.

Are you saying that the justice department, FBI, NSA would reject Sessions directing them to provide evidence/do an investigation? If they did, they should be fired on the spot. He's the chief executive in charge. The buck stops with him.

Come on, man.

You cannot have it both ways.

The FBI refused to let their agents be interviewed.  Announced just this week, again.

Lame!

Just FYI: the Justice Department is part of the executive branch - you know, the part the president is in charge of - not the legislative branch, so Congress has nothing to do with it.

Trump(D) keep his promises?  Only those he made to his fellow democrats Schumer and Pelosi.

So the "swamp draining" was just a campaign slogan then... Because if he had any intention of doing so that's where he would have to start. He doesn't need anyone's permission to do so. So he is choosing not to.
