President Donald Trump said Thursday that he told Sen. Tim Scott that "you have some pretty bad dudes on the other side" in Charlottesville's deadly violence — repeating his initial comments — when they met at the White House on Wednesday.
"Especially in light of the advent of Antifa, if you take a look at what's going on there, you have some pretty bad dudes on the other side also — and, essentially, that's what I said," Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One while returning from visiting Florida.
"Now, because of what's happened since then with Antifa, what's happened since Charlottesville, a lot of people have actually written: 'Gee, Trump might have a point.'
