Clinton: We need to eliminate Electoral College

Hillary Clinton in a new interview called for an end to the Electoral College.
"I think it needs to be eliminated," Clinton said of the Electoral College during an interview on CNN.
 
"I'd like to see us move beyond it, yes."
 
The former Democratic presidential nominee won the popular vote in the 2016 election by nearly 3 million votes.
 
But she lost the Electoral College to President Trump.
 
In recent days, Clinton has been doing a series of interviews to promote her new book, "What Happened."
 
The book chronicles the 2016 campaign and Clinton's election loss to Trump.

I guess we can add the Electoral College to the growing list of people and entities Hillary blames for her defeat.

Someone wake me up when Hillary gets around to blaming the real culprit -- herself.

The transparency of all this is stunning. She lost by 30 States for Trump, to 20 for Hillary. This election was far from a close call. And had she won, NOBODY, nobody at all would be talking about the electoral college.


But, that is normal behavior for Democrats. The EC is only an issue when they lose.


BTW, it is worth repeating that all of the 3 million votes that Hillary uses to claim victory, came from Los Angels district. So, getting rid of the electoral college would simply mean that L.A., NYC, Chicago, St. Louis, and a few more major inner city urban voters, would decide the U.S. President from now on. Any States which do not have major, heavily populated urban areas, would no longer have any reason to vote. 90% of the country would be disenfranchised out of the election altogether.


Hillary knows this, of course. And so do the Democrats. What they are trying to do is to narrow the Presidential election to major cites. Democrats want fly-over country out of the election. That is their completely transparent goal.

Yep. Imagine if you could control the Presidency with a relative handful of precincts. The Dems wouldn't even have to put up the pretense of pandering anymore.

Sure – let's go back in time and have a system where the top to vote getters have a runoff, if no one gets more than 50% of the vote. That way, the unmitigated disaster that was the Clinton administration and political machine will never have been.
