The wife told me they were saying here to expect smoke until the snow hits. But the little front moving through today really cleared things up. I can see the east hills.

I've found that if I leave the place buttoned up until just about bedtime, If I open the windows then the air is bearable. I guess the smoke is going up at night and cold clear air is coming under it. I may just try to get out and go walking after dark. I'm getting stir crazy.

Saw blue skies here today as well in the little patch of Idaho I'm in.

Hopefully the air will stay clear for awhile.

Are any of the fires dying out? Do y'all wear face masks? Would that help if you have to go out? Take care.

No masks. Here is a site with some stats. I think fires here are kinda like hurricanes or tornadoes. Locals tend to ride it out.

Nah no masks. I just make sure my grandson stays in the house. As I said earlier...the stuff that's been in the air here lately reminds me of Baghdad or Kandahar on a good day...so I'm pretty used to it.

We are getting some rain  here tonight on the Divide. Only problem it's pretty weak and the lightning is coming in at 200 strikes an hour....
