Hurricane supplies shopping updates: Who has what in Brevard

With Hurricane Irma gaining strength, many on the Space Coast have hit stores for a hurricane supplies shopping frenzy.

To prepare for the Category 5 hurricane and whatever effects she'll bring to the Space Coast, shoppers are crowding home improvement and grocery stores to stock up on batteries, generators gas cans and a host of other storm essentials. Here are updates from staff and readers on what's in available in Brevard stores:
As of 6 p.m. Tuesday

• Lowes in Titusville is expecting a shipment of generators by Friday. Lowes, Home Depot and Ace Hardware in Titusville are all currently out of generators.

• Lowes in Titusville has water, gas cans, and small Coleman camping gas cylinders.

• Aldi in Titusville is out of water.

• Publix on State Road 524 in Cocoa is out of water, but has canned goods. The store is expecting a delivery of more products in the morning.

• Total Wine in Viera has water.

• Publix in Viera is expecting a shipment of water at 6 p.m. to arrive.

• Walmart in Viera is expected to get another load of water around 7 p.m., but it’s limited to two cases per customer.

• Sam’s Club on U.S. 192 in Melbourne is currently out of water, but will receive a shipment in the morning.
As of 3:30 p.m. Tuesday

• Water is still available at Winn-Dixie on Harrison Street in Titusville.

• Lowes in Titusville has plywood and water.

• Home Depot in Titusville is out of plywood and water, but still has tarps and flashlights. Management says the store is expecting another shipment of plywood tomorrow.

•  Storm Busters in West Melbourne has storm panels.

• Aldi in Cocoa has water, canned goods, paper products and batteries.

• Walmart in Cocoa has water and batteries and will be receiving shipments daily.

• Publix stores on State Road 520 and Courtenay Parkway in Merritt Island have water. The Courtenay Parkway store has batteries and flashlights as well.

•  Publix in Cocoa Beach (Banana River Square) has water, batteries and flashlights.

• Target in Viera has batteries, but appears to be out of C and D batteries. There are a few flashlights available near the camping aisle. There are very limited canned goods available and no water. Bread is also running low. Employees said a shipment is expected tomorrow, but they aren’t sure what will be on the truck.

•  Ace Hardware on Wickham Road in the Suntree/Palm Shores area has batteries, emergency candles, flashlights, lighters and charcoal grills.

• 84 Lumber in Melbourne/Palm Shores has 5/8 OSB window coverings.

•  Walgreens on Minton Road in Melbourne has water.

• Lowes on U.S. 192 in West Melbourne  is out of plywood, gas cans and generators. The store does have flashlights and batteries.

• T&C Sales, 1950 Murrell Road, Rockledge, has hardware for Hurricane Irma.

• Winn-Dixie on Malabar Road in Palm Bay has water.

• Walmart on Malabar Road in Palm Bay is out of water but is expecting a shipment. The time for the truck's arrival is currently unknown.
