Housing prices have shot up over the past 25 years in spite of the increasing availability of cheap (illegal) labor, so obviously there is no correlation between labor costs and housing prices.
So its a win win, except for the developers, who will just have to make do with a little less.

You expected housing prices to remain level over a 25 year span?

No. In anticipation for the 'I hope you're willing to pay more for housing' argument, I was pointing out that there is no apparent correlation between labor costs and the market price of housing. Developers sell for as much as the market will bear.
