And in terms of sustained wind speed, Harvey barely makes the top 100 in history.

I was down at Homestead participating in the Hurricane Andrew recovery efforts as a shiny new Army Private back in 1992.  I talked to a couple airmen that had ridden out the storm in a bunker on base they said the last wind speed reading that was reported from the tower before it was abandoned was 200mph.

That storm hit land as a Cat 5...winds blew so hard they had to drop a stack at the Turkey Creek nuke plant because it cracked.

Harvey was a bad storm...but nothing like others we've seen before...I agree it will be lucky to make the top 100.
The libs/dems of today are the Quislings of former years. The cowards who would vote a fraud into office in exchange for handouts from the devil.

Yes, by force.  Global Socialism is manifestly our only hope.

Isn't it remarkable the solutions proposed for Climate Change are always exactly the same things proposed by Marxists?

Andrew was a terrifying storm.  Homestead looked like it had been wiped out by a 6-mile wide tornado.

Eric Hothaus:
"Harvey Is What Climate Change Looks Like"
"In all of U.S. history, there’s never been a storm like Hurricane Harvey."

What a jerk.
One thing of which he has proven -- he knows nuthin' of "U.S. history".

Did he ever read about the Galveston flood/hurricane of 1900?
That one killed between 6,000-12,000 people.

Hey Eric, give a listen to Tom Rush:

Addendum:
Hard to believe this recording is more than 50 years old!
Tom's still around, he lives in Montana now.
