How do illegal immigrants get jobs (in the US) without any right to work documentation? How do they get jobs at firms that participate in E-verify (almost any firm at this point)?

Well, most of them don't work at places like that, obviously. But there is a big market in the U.S. for fake documentation (immigrants or otherwise), and if they can afford it, most employers who aren't giant businesses aren't going to have the resources to catch that.

There's also a contingent of employers who are just cheap jerks who want to be able to underpay for certain jobs or fail to provide proper work conditions, which illegal immigrants can't do much about.
