RNC adopts resolution condemning white supremacists
By Cristina Marcos - 08/25/17 01:50 PM EDT

The Republican National Committee adopted a resolution on Friday denouncing white supremacists amid discomfort among many party members about President Trump’s equivocating response to the violence in Charlottesville, Va., this month.

The resolution was adopted unanimously at the RNC’s summer gathering in Nashville, Tenn.

It states that “the racist beliefs of Nazis, the KKK, white supremacists and other like-minded groups are completely inconsistent with the Republican Party’s platform” and “have no fruitful place in the United States.”

If they could have worked in something about "Gluten Free" I might have seen their courage.

I'm sorry to be the unpopular anti-nazi around here, but as a former battered Republican, it hard for me to not fantasize that my departed party has changed for the better since we separated.

It is silly I know.

Looking good GOP.<wink>

So, once again - the GOP showcases that it can adopt the Liberal-Left positions and condemn the same things the Left and the Media have made an issue...

... But where is their resolution to condemn ANTIFA and BLM?

More Uniparty bullshit is all this is.
Fart for freedom, fart for liberty and fart proudly.  - Benjamin Franklin

...Obsta principiis—Nip the shoots of arbitrary power in the bud, is the only maxim which can ever preserve the liberties of any people. When the people give way, their deceivers, betrayers and destroyers press upon them so fast that there is no resisting afterwards. The nature of the encroachment upon [the] American constitution is such, as to grow every day more and more encroaching.  While I certainly don't condone the KKK, white supremacists, etc., I agree; where is the resolution to condemn BLM, ANTIFA and similar groups??  Actually in essence what this boils down to is giving the BLM, ANTIFA and similar groups a free pass.  God help us.
I Believe in the United States of America as a Government of the people, by the people, for the people; whose just powers are derived from the consent of the governed; a democracy in a republic; a sovereign nation of many sovereign states; a perfect union one and inseparable; established upon those principles of freedom, equality, justice and humanity for which American patriots sacrificed their lives and fortunes.  I therefore believe it is my duty to my country to love it; to support its Constitution; to obey its laws to respect its flag; and to defend it against all enemies.

Just another reason why the Republican Party is gone the way of the Whigs.

Time to get out of it.

They are just another arm of the Democrats.

It's not unpopular to be anti-nazi.  People just don't like to be called Nazis when they don't even know the signals.

Here is how I interpret the signals.  If they are chanting about "Jews," or I see just one Nazi flag, I assume I am at the wrong rally.
Hope that helps. :patriot:

I had a hardcore old Coffee House Marxist call me crazy because in his world, the Third Reich was the ultimate expression of Capitalism.

I was kind'a hoping he's have a stroke when I explained to him that NAZI was a acronym for National SOCIALIST, but no such luck. He just backed up and started squawking again.

Which means that, prior to the resolution, the RNC **supported** white supremacists.

Dirty Harry said it best.  When a naked man is chasing a woman through a dark alley with a butcher knife and a hard on yelling Allah Ackbar, I figure he isn't out collecting for the Red Cross.

@Once-Ler

Yeah, that's about how it works, all right. I don't buy into binary choices, so it's easy for me to say that they both suck and they both deserve each other.
