Out of ideas, the left makes hay on fake outrage

Somehow we have been able to survive for over 150 years after the Civil War without massive protests relating to statues.

Rep. Nancy Pelosi. Sen. Bernie Sanders, the Clintons, Sen. Dick Durbin and others have been able to walk the halls in the Capital building for decades and not once do I recall them saying that the Civil War statues must come down.

The left is seizing the chance once again to label all Republicans and conservatives as racists if they don't want the statues pulled down. This is the left grasping at straws to find an issue.
They've exhausted most of the weird sex rights issues, so they have to keep finding the odd, mostly irrelevant issues to stir things up. That's all they really want to do....stir their excitable base up to keep them voting Dem.

It's not "just" that though.   It's also the equivalent of poking the bear (Trump) until the bear screws up, lashes back and gets itself put down (symbolically speaking, of course).  Look at how the radical left bashed Trump merely over his 'spread/share the blame' comments on Charlottesville.   His comments were logical and bipartisan, yet still they bleated.   They are obviously trying to provoke Trump into saying or doing something that they CAN impeach him over.
