Breitbart editor on Bannon's return: 'We’ve been a pirate ship without a captain for a year'

By Julia Manchester - 08/19/17 07:56 PM EDT

Breitbart's Washington political editor said on Saturday the return of Stave Bannon is like a captain coming back to a pirate ship after a year away.

“We’ve been a pirate ship without a captain for a year,” Matthew Boyle said on Breitbart's Sirius XM show, adding, “We’re thrilled to have our captain back.”

Boyle's comments come a day after it was announced that Bannon was leaving the White House and returning to Breitbart as executive chairman.

“We’re planning a lot of aggressive expansion and much more aggressive reporting than we’ve already been doing,” Boyle said of plans following Bannon's return.
