A Texas representative said Monday on the House floor that a white supremacist rally on Texas A&M University's campus has been cancelled.A former Texas A&M student announced on Saturday that he would host a White Lives Matter event in College Station on Sept. 11. The university has not publicly commented on the event or its cancellation. Here is an interesting article from Mother Jones, they do have good articles from time to time though I disagree with their overall view:
A&M is becoming UT-Austin. A liberal education establishment. Too bad, as I thought it was the premier conservative public place in Texas.
It should have been planned as an All Lives Matter rally. That would have nailed the point home better than White Lives Matter. Focusing on one color or another misses the point.
Just because you have free speech doesn't give you the right to use it on anyone's property you want.
