South Korea Will Allow Deployment of Full THAAD Battery

Posted By: Richard Sisk August 5, 2017

South Korea has changed course to allow deployment of a full THAAD anti-missile battery south of Seoul to counter the growing threat from North Korea, the Pentagon said Friday.

New South Korean President Moon Jae-in had held up placement of a full battery of six THAAD launchers after two launchers were installed.

Finally. Maybe they will be allowed to develop their own nuclear weapons.South Korea ratified the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) in April 1975, in large part because of pressure from the United States and Canada — a move that, in theory, forced it to drop its program.South Korea has the raw materials, technology, and resources to create nuclear weapons. They would not be depended on the United States.
