President Trump on Monday attacked Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.), calling him a "phony Vietnam con artist."

"Interesting to watch Senator Richard Blumenthal of Connecticut talking about hoax Russian collusion when he was a phony Vietnam con artist!" Trump tweeted.

My grandfather lost toes to frostbite, hearing in one ear to a German 88mm shell, and took a shrapnel wound to his shoulder all during the battle of the bulge. He remained in Europe with his brothers till the end of the war.

A tweet solely for his loyal supporters. By doing so, he now elevates Blumenthal by referring to a years old story. Might as well have mentioned that a Blumenthal family member  helped Rafael Cruz assassinate Kennedy.

Hurling slurs and insults got him thru the primaries.   It's all he knows.  In this case, Blumenthal earned the slurs.

Well, so much for the naïve notion that Gen. Kelly would take control, and prevent President Trump from tweeting.

Or alternatively Kelly screened it because he also understands the paradigm of going straight over, under, around and through the mainstream biased media's filter.

Amazing, that paradigm thing, and listening to folks that despise him, that didn't vote for him, and who seemingly cannot or will not understand it. NTs and DUs alike.

They both yearn for the media to take back control, so their views prevail in the news for the day.
