Only a fool would expect a Trump cult member to accept responsibility for the damage they did to this country by foisting Trump on us as president. In that respect they are just like liberals.
@Oceander It also occurs to me that their blindness runs so deep, they can't even see how many actual conservatives they've lost - as in, most of us.
This isn't like Bush, where we would criticize some of his actions, but still generally support him as a GOP president. Every conservative I know - from my parents, to my best friend, to my wife, to the casual acquaintances I see at church - just want Trump gone. They are embarrassed by him. They'd cheer impeachment and the installation of President Pence, so long as it happens in the first year so Pence has three years to pick up the pieces.
To me, this is the most amazing thing. The Trumpettes *should* be able to read the derision on this board and understand that they may have won the primary (because of spoilers like Kasich and Rubio refusing to get out), but they are now a significant minority of GOPers. THAT ALONE should explain to them the damage they've done. A conservative board should be friendly territory for them, but it's NOT.
They can't figure that out.
