We could have had Ted Cruz, but @Right_in_Virginia and her ilk got their way .../
And we could have had ponies and lollipops and rainbows, too
@bolobaby I know you despise Donald Trump, and really don't care any more---you've overplayed this card. But what intrigues me is how much you love clinging to a delusion.
Here, once again, are the cold, hard realities of the 2016 election: Ted Cruz, a career politician who won his home state by the lowest percent in primary history, could not beat Donald Trump. That's it. Game over.
Continuing to insist that Cruz losing to Donald Trump means he would have won against the Clinton machine is political masochism in its purest form. And while there is a small part of me that doesn't mind the pain you're causing yourself, I do want you to stop using your delusion as a sword against those who supported candidate Trump.
There may come a time in this century when every one of the supporters of President Trump will be asked to politically embrace Ted Cruz. You should know that it is becoming difficult to separate the politician from your ilk and ignore the lashes in his name from your corrupted sword. Keep doing this and the challenge could well be insurmountable. And this would not bode well for the political aspirations of Ted Cruz.
You would help Ted Cruz more if you kept your delusion to yourself.
