In what may be one of the most remarkable conflicts of interest that we have seen in a long time, it appears that Steven Wasserman, Assistant Attorney for the District of Columbia who is the brother of Debbie Wasserman Schultz, has been tasked with overseeing the investigation of DNC IT employee Imran Awan, who was arrested earlier this week while attempting to flee the US and charged with bank fraud.

If ever there was this thing called 'Conflict of Interest" this is it!

I saw this elsewhere but couldn't determine just what role Steven Wasserman has.

This screams for a special prosecutor IMHO!

I hope this news better explains why the President is so pissed that his AG recused himself from the "Russia" investigation.

This double standard shit has to end!

Actually if Wasserman had an ounce of integrity he'd follow in the AG's footsteps and recuse himself because of conflict of interest.

Very true.  The Dems have a track record of lacking the integrity gene or anything resembling it for about 5 decades now.

And there are very few republicans who are any better!

Democrats never ever recuse themselves.... even when the most glaring of conflicts of interest are obvious and apparent to everyone with even one remaining working brain cell.

We have two sitting Supreme Court Justices who are living proof of that.

No, that's giving short shrift to the concept of conflict of interest.  This is outrageous.  Who came up with it?

I believe this violates the rules of professional conduct lawyers are required to obey.  If he doesn't recuse, somebody should file an ethics complaint against him immediately.

Where is Trump on this?  This has nothing to do with the Russian investigation so he has carte blanc to instruct that this clown not be in charge of the investigation.

Lawyers. That is who came up with it.

Sessions could pick up his phone, and remedy it in less than 5 minutes.

But he too, is another lawyer.

They know how to make a common sense issue, too complicated.

I think yall are reading to much into this, I would certainly indict my Sister, her being the big Trump Supporter that she is.
A Felony Conviction may keep her from making the same mistake twice.

So why hasn't he?  Why hasn't Trump done so?
