Sessions to announce investigations into intelligence leaks: source

Fox News

Attorney General Jeff Sessions will soon announce several criminal leak investigations, Fox News has learned.

A U.S. official familiar with the discussions said Tuesday that the planned announcement surrounding stepped-up efforts on leak investigations has “been in the works for some time and will most likely happen sometime in the next week.”

The news comes in the wake of days of intense pressure on Sessions, with President Trump lashing out and expressing his “disappointment” with the attorney general, through tweets, interviews and news conferences.

Been in the work? What a bunch of clowns. We got Sessions going after kids with joints and pushing to have peoples assets confiscated, but now they are getting around to the leaks that have been destroying the administration for 6 months?

Sessions is a total shit show.

Isn't Sessions known for being very loyal to the Republican party?    His original endorsement came as kind of a surprise.   Did he take the AG job in order to be in a position to undercut Trump?

On one hand Sessions is a good conservative guy. On the other nothing is getting done.

While its mickey mouse to keep attacking him on Twitter, I totally understand why Trump would be frustrated with him.

Leakers of classified information should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.  After all, they sign an oath to safeguard this information. It seems like members on both side of the aisle SHOULD be able to agree to this.

I think Pres. Trump's hands are tied because of the special prosecutor. If Trump fires Sessions the outcry will be it's "obstruction of justice" because the new AG will fire Rosenstein and his replacement will fire the special prosecutor.
