Videos suggest Russian government may be arming Taliban

    Two videos obtained by CNN suggest the Taliban have received improved weaponry supplied by the Russian government

 Russia's Foreign Ministry declined to comment but has previously called claims they are arming the Taliban "utterly false"

A coworker was telling me this morning some of the Russian help is supplying really good sniper rifles.

Turnabout is fair play.  They never forgave us for arming the rebels back in 79.

We helped the Mujahadin, that is true. It's difficult to judge all of this, reportedly, the USSR was very brutal in that war but otoh, maybe it was their Vietnam, we are accused of the same.

In hindsight that is easy to say, maybe if USSR (as it was in those days) won, the Iron Curtain might never have come down.

Maybe its just me but I just don't think we should be so blase about Russia helping kill our soldiers and allies while simply conceding Putin's new cold war.
