@Right_in_Virginia

So anyone who claims Trump is the next Washington or the best prez we've had is a few sandwiches short of a picnic, not to mention easily manipulated.

Why spend so much time worrying about, dissecting and ridiculing what other people think?  And why do you challenge me to defend others?   It appears small and mean-spirited and a diversion from not having substantive points to present.

Why not concentrate on your own opinions, present them and support them with policy facts and suggestions?  This is, after all, a political discussion group.

I think we'd all benefit from more facts and less personal opinions about what others think and why.

But, hey ... I know too few will agree with me to make a difference.  So I guess my own post is moot.  :shrug:

Shall I take it that you are going to follow your own above advice then?

There is so much noise regarding Trump that I tend to dismiss everything said about him or attributed to him, good or bad.

Actually @RoosGirl I am the one drawn into this BS in defense of myself and others.

Stop the BS attacks and ridicule and they'll be no reason for defensive bickering.

You represent the majority here, so I will follow your lead.

The ridicule like calling people idiots, crazy, telling them to jump off Mt Rushmore, JV team, etc.?  Haha, yeah, you're *forced* to join in with the likes of that.

I think my record here is fairly above board; you point out where my behavior is lacking and I'll think about whether it warrants correction.

She's been absolutely correct regarding everything "TRUMP", since July 2015.
@DCPatriot @Right_in_Virginia

So what you're saying is that despite correctly identifying and being totally aware he is a petty, incompetent boob, she still has been pushing him on people?

She recognized his inability to create an administration without chaos?  She recognized his inability to work positively with Congress rather than snipe and instigate dissension?  She recognized that he would bring liberal elements into his Administration, including his daughter whose projects would be given taxpayer funds?  She recognized that he would be dogged by investigations that dragged on as a result of his own idiocy?  She recognized that he would release a budget where his budget director would have to say, "I wouldn’t take what’s in the budget as indicative of what our proposals are."  She recognized that he would constantly undermine conservative progress by ill-advised late-night tweets?  She recognized that he would flip-flop on calling China a currency manipulator?  She recognized that he would share classified Israeli intelligence with an ally of Israel's foe?  She recognized he would backstab a longtime ally in the Gulf over Twitter?  She recognized that he would be totally unable to accomplish his "100 day" promise list?  Etc.

She was right about all these things and still pushes him?

Wow, that's sad.

When she really gets on a roll she starts talking about the invasion of TBR by a bunch of refugees.

Why not?  Most of them over there aren't deserving of more; I limit my remarks to those types.  There's no need to dissect anything when all you have to do is read a post.

And I would say TOS's fealty of Trump is relative to the times we find ourselves in.

Why are you misrepresenting my post, which was a comment about TOS,  to be a challenge to you or a personal affront when it clearly wasn't?  If you feel compelled to defend them, that's your thing, not mine.

I would say that it's ridiculous to believe Trump is the next Washington and/or the best president in the history of the country, and it should be apparent.

I did present my opinion.  It didn't sit well with you and you're attempting to mischaracterize it in a personal manner.

@XenaLee I worry about people that take criticism of an elected official as a personal insult.

I don't.  No worries here at all.  I recognize that they are merely expressing their own inner doubts and niggling fears... over having supported an extremely flawed candidate.... who is now, thanks to their unwavering (and unquestioning) support.... the most powerful person on the planet ...and in charge of their fate and of their very life (or death).  I think their subconscious is trying to tell them something....lol.

You're probably right...and they seem to be doing their level best to ignore what that little voice is trying to tell them.
