On a similar note:

Rubio and others from the GOP have warned Trump it would be a mistake to fire him.

The Resistance Is Already Planning for When Trump Fires Mueller

It feels like our democracy is hurtling toward a cliff. Trump is hinting that he might try to shut down Robert Mueller, the special prosecutor investigating whether his campaign colluded with Russia. If he did so, he’d be following in the footsteps of Richard Nixon, who forced the resignation of both his attorney general and his deputy attorney general before he found a Justice Department lackey—Robert Bork—willing to fire special prosecutor Archibald Cox. Yet Nixon’s power grab was constrained by a Democratic Congress. Trump has a Republican one. And if the only thing standing between the American public and outright authoritarianism is the civic integrity of congressional Republicans, we’re in an inconceivably dangerous place.....

....If news breaks that Trump has forced Mueller out, Wertheimer believes that “the country will explode.” For the resistance, the trick is making sure the explosion is sustained. “That means people in the streets, demonstrations, marches, folks coming to Washington, a massive lobbying effort in Congress,” he said.....

Trump's between a rock and a hard place. For now. For now, I think they should keep asking just what is being investigated. Do that and the public should start smelling a rat.

Unfortunately, members of his own party would like nothing more for him to step down and Pence take over.

Assuming Pence would mean the status quo ante. Maybe it would. Or maybe Pence has seen that things can change.

Trump put himself there and he just keeps doubling down on it.

Pence might be just a wee bit less interested in twitter and petty vendettas and a wee bit more interested in governing.

*Yawn*.

I remember the vitriol received from the Trump Militants during the Primaries when we pointed out that Trump had donated $100 K to the Clinton Foundation; $25K to the Democrat Senate campaign in 2006 to bolster Reid and Pelosi; and that he often donated to Chuckie Schmukie Schumer, his "Good friend" while donating little to Republicans up until he got the itch to run as a Republican beginning in 2012.

For this we were excoriated and told that Trump was showing good business skills in paying off politicians to win contracts for his real estate empire, then they denied that was 'pay-for-play' cronyism.

Why should we care who Mueller donated to when we were told last year that we shouldn't care who Trump donated to?

MAGA!

That means we are not supposed to care about things like that.

So it is OK for Trump to donate to Hillary but not OK for the other guy.

Hopefully, 'governing' wouldn't mean the status quo ante.

Maybe Pence started as determined to make a positive difference. But then...ya gotta go along to get along, kid. You don't vote for what I want and you can go suck lemons when you propose something. We'll all just laugh at you.

So he compromises. And again. And then he's like the rest.

So we can't trust Mueller b/c too many of his staff gave money to Democrats.  But we can trust Scaramucci who, like Trump, gave to Dems.

There is a difference; Trump didn't donate 99.81% of all of his donations to Hillary.  Let's move on ...

Who said anything about trusting Scaramucci?  I never heard of the guy until today.

Yes.  Nothing to see here.  Let's move on.

Remember,  if you judge the Trump Presidency before he leaves office, you are a traitor to the country and do not want to make America great again.

We can see what Trump is doing.

We can see what Mueller is doing.

We will see what Scaramucci does do.

Not giving Trump a pass by any means ... but this blame game back and forth is nuts!
