Trump cannot fire Mueller. Only the AG has that authority and he has to provide good reasons to do so to Congress. Since Session recused himself that would be Rosenstein's decision and he has said that so far, he is not inclined to do so.

“(d) The Special Counsel may be disciplined or removed from office only by
the personal action of the Attorney General. The Attorney General may remove
a Special Counsel for misconduct, dereliction of duty, incapacity, conflict of interest, or for other good cause, including violation of Departmental policies. The Attorney General shall inform the Special Counsel in writing of the specific reason for his or her removal.”

Thank you for that information.  The simple solution here is for Sessions to un-recuse himself and fire Mueller and probably Rosenstein.  Then Sessions appoints himself Special Council concludes no collusion, and we are back to business of Congress passing nothing and President Trump tweeting something stupid.  #MAGA

You know, if there's nothing to find, then Trump is playing this beautifully.
My avatar shows the national debt in stacks of $100 bills.  If you look very closely under the crane you can see the Statue of Liberty.
