Nope...it's blind fealty...Trump can never do anything wrong...his most ardent supporters here jump on the slightest criticism with the tired old never trumper BS and when people that have been critical of him actually do give him credit for something or back him on on issue...those same loud critics are silent as church mice.

I've really tried to resist this thesis @driftdiver   But I see on this thread such a willingness to post without reading the article and understanding how much in common they would have with Trump supporters ... if only they could surrender their obsessive need to be proven right about a candidate they didn't want in an election long over.

Makes no difference.   The point is exactly the same when debating the statement and idea the OP offers that one man is a deliverer of a people.

One guy in that pic was not saluting what the mob around him had decided was the 'deliverer' of their nation from the 'slavery' Hitler declared them to have suffered under.  That lone fella was a principled minority.  He refused to salute when everyone else was saluting.

The article in the OP states that Trump has freed this people from slavery.

RIV was happy to declare that those of us not saluting Trump, are a minority.

Mob movements never end well, and - as the article gleefully reports, the most loyal of Trump's people do not care about his lack of character or principle.  I contend they are become the very thing they pretend to oppose.

So if you are off-put by the pic of German Civilians saluting en-masse a man and party who promised to make Germany Great Again because they too wanted payback for the miseries they suffered in the years that came before their Deliverer came to be their leader - you willfully miss the point.

No, I do not think Trump is a Nazi.  I do not think the majority of Trump's support mob are Nazis. 

My issue is that mass movements that declare a man or a party to be a nation's deliverer and salvation, is the road that leads exactly where Germany's road led them in the 1930's.  All it took was a little embrace of Socialism and national pride.
