Sen. Tom Cotton predicts simple repeal will head to Trump’s desk, avoiding conference

By Sally Persons - The Washington Times - Tuesday, July 18, 2017

Sen. Tom Cotton said Tuesday the simple repeal vote planned for Obamacare will head straight to President Trump’s desk and avoid conference.

“I believe that we’d be able to send this bill straight to the president for his signature,” the Arkansas Republican said on “The Hugh Hewitt Show.”

Mr. Cotton also said that the 49 senators who voted to repeal Obamacare in 2015 cannot reasonably vote against the upcoming clean repeal.

“I don’t see how any Republican senator who voted just 18 months ago for this very piece of legislation could now flip-flop 18 months on with Obamacare still inflicting so much harm on Americans, and the fact that we campaigned on this for four straight elections,” he said.

Seventeen Techniques for Truth Suppression

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

Simple.  They're politicians.  They're RINO's.  IF they were serious about repeal, they wouldn't have spent the past 6 weeks or so, trying to patch Bammycare.  The insurance lobbyists, the pharmaceutical companies, and those that have invested in Bammy startup companies (i.e., Jared Kushner and brother) stand to lose money... deals and promises were made.

Do you honestly think they're worried about inflicting harm on Americans?  They and their families are well taken care, they have the best healthcare, and receive pensions even if they lose their seats; all at the expense of us, the American taxpayers.

I Believe in the United States of America as a Government of the people, by the people, for the people; whose just powers are derived from the consent of the governed; a democracy in a republic; a sovereign nation of many sovereign states; a perfect union one and inseparable; established upon those principles of freedom, equality, justice and humanity for which American patriots sacrificed their lives and fortunes.  I therefore believe it is my duty to my country to love it; to support its Constitution; to obey its laws to respect its flag; and to defend it against all enemies.

Well crazy Tommy, put down the crack pipe and look around your workplace. We already have a handful of your co-workers changing their minds now that this vote will actually matter instead of the fraud that was voted on when Obama was President.

BTW Tommy, why do you consistently sit around with your thumb up your ass talking about what a real Conservative you are while your co-workers Cruz and Lee are out there busting their humps to get something done?

If ONLY you could get Trump to tweet those exact sentiments, word-for-word in his next rant.

It might be a game changer and possibly the absolute finest use of Twitter ever to be used by a politician.

Fart for freedom, fart for liberty and fart proudly.  - Benjamin Franklin

...Obsta principiis—Nip the shoots of arbitrary power in the bud, is the only maxim which can ever preserve the liberties of any people. When the people give way, their deceivers, betrayers and destroyers press upon them so fast that there is no resisting afterwards. The nature of the encroachment upon [the] American constitution is such, as to grow every day more and more encroaching. Like a cancer, it eats faster and faster every hour." - John Adams, February 6, 1775

It would be entertaining, but it wouldn't do a damn thing to light a fire under congresses ass. Most of them are only in it to become multi millionaires and then get a FOX News gig*.

Don't you just hate being right when cynicism is most likely optimistic?
