Venezuelans go to the polls Sunday in what could be a turning point for the beleaguered nation

Let’s lay this out with bullet points as there is a lot of background information here:

Venezuela has been in an increasingly violent crisis for more than three months.
The crisis began when socialists on the Supreme Court attempted to seize power from the opposition held National Assembly.
Socialist President Nicolas Maduro has delayed regional elections.
Maduro’s government also permanently blocked a popular referendum which could have removed him from power.
Maduro announced plans to rewrite the constitution.

Let the crisis boil.

Also, the US Virgin Islands has the refinery that Venezuela mainly relies on to refine its ****ty crude.  That should be shut down immediately under some "green" dip**** policy alibi.

The OAS is a kangaroo court version of the UN, which is itself a kangaroo court, so, y'know, pretty bad.  Redirect all questions about the Venezuelan crisis to the OAS.

BTW, the Castro regime needs to be destroyed.  :)

F'em.

They need to suffer some more to make sure the scourge of socialism is permanently indented into their national psyche.

Venezuela is what Chile would have been without General Pinochet and the army to stand up to the communists there.

Unfortunately, I don't think the Venezuelan military has the sense or gumption to follow in Chile's footsteps.

Chavez kicked out or killed all officers who would have acted against him and replaced them with his toadies.

LOL. When they do a man on the street interview of someone eating garbage off the street or rioting they usually blame the bus driver not doing Socialism the right way for their problems. The place is a wasteland.

Nonsense.

Venezuela produces 2.37 million barrels per day of crude.

The US Virgin Islands refinery, that was owned by  a joint venture between Hess Corporation and PDVSA, was only refining 350,000 barrels per day when it was shut down in 2012.  It became just an oil shipping terminal after that.

Now that China has invested in the facility:

They hope to bring the refinery back into operation.

Miguel Cabrera speaks candidly about his Venezuelan home: ‘They’ll kill me.’

https://www.blessyouboys.com/2017/7/11/15953810/detroit-tigers-miguel-cabrera-death-threats-venezuelan-politics-instagram

With Venezuela’s political future currently on the razor’s edge, where President Nicholas Maduro plans to hold a referendum that could see democracy come to an end in the country, it takes courage for Cabrera to speak so openly, especially in support of the protesters.

“I protest for truth, for the end of communism, and I am not with dictators. To the people of the resistance, you are not alone.”

After being mothballed 5 years?  I don't want to be within a 100 miles of that startup.

Yep.  The Trotskyites are upset with the Stalinists.
