If pathology doesn't indicate any malignancy; other than age, why would he step down?

I don't think he would, no matter what the pathology indicates.  He's a bitter clinger when it comes to his sinecure.

For unvaccinated, we are looking at a winter of severe illness and death — if you’re unvaccinated — for themselves, their families, and the hospitals they’ll soon overwhelm. Sloe Joe Biteme 12/16
I will NOT comply.

There is that.

If past is prologue, that is correct.  He'll be voting against any tax reform that comes along, too.

He won't.  That would require a zero pulse.  That much has been obvious about him for the past two elections.

It's a strange Napoleon-esque complex: He lost to a no name, no talent hack in the grand daddy of them all elections and lost, so now he must cling bitterly to the only bit of control he has. It just shows that had he won, we would have had a very similar present situation.

...only with a "Republican" stamp on it (not that it would have made a difference, as we note how Congress has refused to overturn Obama policies).

Heh.. had to look that up.

Funny thing is this Simple Bricklayer sings..sorta, like your reference... albeit better tunes, on the jobsite.

One time, when working on the Key West Customs House in 97, the Lady from DOT who oversaw it for the FED walked behind me on the scaffold. I was singing something, and as she passed she said.."No singing on a Federal job site" , I replied.."Thank You". She stopped, turned , and with a quizzical look asked me.."Why did you thank me".

I replied..." You're the first person who recognized it as singing.".  The look on her face was priceless.

True Story.

Could be the vote Post Turtle is waiting for.

I don't know.  Out of respect for the senile one, no names are being suggested as possible replacements.  We thought Flake would be a reliable conservative vote, based on his House record, but he's been competing with Linseed for the post of McCain's Mini-Me.

So, no offense but what happens if he doesn't make it.  Would the health care bill be on hold until the governor appointed a replacement Senator?  And how long does that usually take.?

So, I should probably kiss my money goodbye (bet with Corbe)

Well, if it was a democrat gov'ner.... two seconds.

With an R.. who knows and an obama judge would likely stall it anyways. Probably from Hawaii.

The vote will be when Turtle says it is.  If he thinks the loss of McCain would jeopardize the vote, he'll hold it until after Ducey names a replacement, and you can bet that vote would be a deciding factor in who Ducey selects.  Ducey is a huge Trump supporter.  I'm not sure McCain would vote for it, he's playing this close to the vest.  McCain really hates Trump.

Actually, I think she was teasing.. sorta' knew her in a casual way. I was below her pay grade, but I am a very good mason.. all the top dogs seemed to gravitate around me on that project. It was..ah , interesting sometimes, as I was a focal point of several power plays betwixt the Architect and the owner of the company I worked for.

Good times, heck, even got 40 hours pay to go windsurfing.

McCain is waffling on fears the bill will be bad for AZ. How many times did he vote enthusiastically for straight-up repeal? How stupid does he think his constituents are?

Yep!

Have Medicare, with BC/BS supplemental.    I had to arm-wrestle my primary doctor to authorize an MRI.

I have a Medicare Advantage plan with BC/BS, and have never had any delays in testing, specialist referrals, even knee replacement surgery. (And I'm in Alabama.) Do you think that makes a difference?

Medicare Advantage plans aren't affected by Obamacare.

I wish I shared your optimism.  McCain, the traitor, will be back in the Senate after the surgery regardless of the outcome.  He's rotten to the core.  He'll have to die on the table to keep him from his sinecure.  Expect him to continue his backstabbing.
