Interview: US Rep. Elise Stefanik

By: Joe Gould, July 3, 2017

WASHINGTON — U.S. Rep. Elise Stefanik, R-N.Y., is the chairwoman of the House Armed Services Emerging Threats and Capabilities Subcommittee, which has jurisdiction over Pentagon cyber operations, counter-terrorism, U.S. Special Operations Command and countering weapons of mass destruction.

But because it oversees Pentagon science and technology programs, it is “the subcommittee about the future,” said House Armed Services Committee Chairman Mac Thornberry, R-Texas.

At least it looks like the focus is on Islamic groups around the globe and the usual cold war suspects instead of christian 'bitter clingers' for a change. That would be a welcome change, and likely do a lot for national security. Now, if they can just say "Muslim Terrorist", we're on our way.

Seventeen Techniques for Truth Suppression

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.
