Islamists in Michigan

The accompanying video shows what happened when a Christian group called the Bible Believers demonstrated at the 2012 Arab Festival in Dearborn, Michigan. The Christian group carried a pig’s head and held up signs offensive to the Arab population, who physically and verbally attacked and ultimately tried to stone them (see 9:30 minutes into the video).
Even though the Christians actions were hateful, they were protected by the U.S. Constitution (freedom of speech and religion). The police studiously ignored the mob violence, forced the Christians to leave and threatened to arrest them, which provoked a lawsuit against the city brought by the Christians.
The city had already lost two similar suits from previous years (one of which cost Dearborn taxpayers $100,000). Again, the courts ruled against the city. After the 2012 incident, the Arab America Festival was canceled.
