Twenty-one mostly "sanctuary cities" are pledging to make 1 million immigrants U.S. citizens this year.

The "Naturalize NOW!" campaign, which includes liberal and progressive groups and elected officials, heralded the mayors of the cities in joining the national effort.

Gee.... and here I thought that Congress made those laws (re: immigration and naturalization)... and to my knowledge, no such laws have made it to Trump's desk yet.   How do these morons think they're going to accomplish this?  Just because the illegals are already voting in US elections?

Here's a prediction for ya.

Just as the leftist cities have declared themselves above and beyond federal laws regarding immigration, watch them to pass new laws (actually I believe in the case of municipalities they're "ordinances") granting "citizenship" to "undocumented immigrants" who meet certain qualifications. Of course, the "qualifications" won't bear any resemblance to those required for one to become an actual "citizen", but they'll come up with something.

Once granted, those cities will grant these erstwhile "citizens" all the rights and privileges of -real- citizens. That includes voting.

Just wait -- sooner or later, someplace is actually going to try this.
