President Trump late Sunday discussed the threat from North Korea with Chinese President Xi Jinping and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.
During Trump's call with Xi, Trump raised the issue of North Korea's nuclear and ballistic missile testing, pressing the Chinese leader for help with the "growing threat."
"Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to a denuclearized Korean Peninsula," the White House said in a readout of the call call.
Trade relations were also discussed.
"President Trump reiterated his determination to seek more balanced trade relations with America’s trading partners," the White House said.
