Federal judge issues temporary stay for California's high capacity magazine ban

A federal judge in San Diego has issued a temporary stay against a new California law that bans high capacity magazines.

U.S. District Judge Roger Benitez issued the preliminary injunction against the voter approved law, writing that the law was likely to be unconstitutional because it prevented citizens f rom purchasing “whatever common magazine size he or she judges best suits the situation.”

This, of course, will wind up at the 9th Circus and will be unanimously rejected and then proceed to the Supreme Soviet Court who didn't want to face it this term.

If this case -does- end up in the Supreme Court, it could influence laws in places like Connecticut and New York as well -- which limit magazines to 10 rounds.
