WaPo Publishes Fact-less Story Thomas Jefferson ‘Celebrated Ramadan’

In an effort to smear President Trump for skipping the White House hosted Ramadan dinner, Washington Post writer Amy B. Wang published an article titled “Trump just ended a long tradition of celebrating Ramadan at the White House.”
The column, completely devoid of fact, was trying to prove that Trump is an islamophobic d-bag (if you read between the lines).
Wang’s whole foundation for her article, however, is fake news.
Her proof was the time in 1805 when a diplomatic envoy from the Bey of Tunis, Sidi Soliman Melli Melli, visited Washington during Ramadan.
Thomas Jefferson never hosted a dinner celebrating Ramadan, though. Here is what really went down:
