Dianne Feinstein Defends Canceling Conservative Speakers On Campus

Posted By Benjamin Decatur On 2:50 PM 06/21/2017 In | No Comments

Democratic California Sen. Dianne Feinstein defended the University of California, Berkeley at a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing Tuesday, and suggested colleges shouldn’t have to accommodate controversial speakers.

The hearing was sparked by countless free speech violations on college campuses across the country, where conservative speakers are often shouted down by leftist protesters, physically assaulted or in some instances prevented from speaking at all.

Oh, by the way Diane, Baby, the Supreme Court has just ruled it is un-Constitutional deny someone the right to speak simply because their point of view is different from the one you espouse.  Perhaps, being in Washington, you may have heard of the decision? Or do you, as democrats in general, just ignore Supreme Court rulings and laws you don't like?

The Wisconsin Assembly just passed a campus Free Speech bill aimed at the disruptive, bullying tactics of the anti-speech Fascists of the Left:

Quote
MADISON - Lawmakers late Wednesday voted to crack down on University of Wisconsin System students who disrupt other people's speeches and events, pitting one set of free speech concerns against another.

Republicans who control the state Legislature are pushing Assembly Bill 299 to protect conservative voices on campus. The Assembly sent the bill to the state Senate on a 61-36 vote Wednesday night, with Republican Rep. Bob Gannon of West Bend joining all Democrats in opposing the bill.

"Today we are ensuring that simply because you are a young adult on a college campus, your constitutional rights do not go away," lead sponsor Rep. Jesse Kremer (R-Kewaskum) said. "Around the country we've had situations that have gotten to the point of demonstration shout downs and we do not want to get to that point in Wisconsin."

Unfortunately, the ultimate punishment to the campus disrupters will be with the Board of Regents, who are notoriously complicit in the emergence of this Left wing intolerance on campus in the first place.
