Two paragraphs from a professor’s book perfectly capture the modern, watered-down state of America’s universities, explaining how the terms “professor” and “university” have become denigrated by their overuse.

The two paragraphs come from “The Death of Expertise: The Campaign Against Established Knowledge and Why It Matters,” a book by Thomas Nichols, a professor at Harvard University and the Naval War College.

“Not only are there too many students, there are too many professors,” says Nichols in an excerpt posted to Twitter. “The very best national universities, the traditional sources of university faculty, are promiscuously pumping out PhDs at a rate far higher than any academic job market can possibly absorb.”...

Just take a look at the numbers of people who are voting in races for college and university administration seats. Its pathetic and those administrators have a lot of say over hiring and funding and almost all are solidly liberal these days because conservatives can't be bothered.

Academia has become like the high school bullies that see your 1969 mint metallic blue 428 Cobra Jet Cougar Eliminator and go 'that's a nice car, we're just gonna have to f*** it up.' They basically hate anything that's not them and mob up to destroy it.

That said, it's time for the FedGov to stop giving the universities money with no strings, and stop forcing taxpayers to pay for majors that have no direct link to a private sector job and make private donation pay for them instead. That will dry up alot of this lefty SJW activist crap.

Further it is virtually impossible for a conservative to obtain a PHD these days much less get a job teaching at a major university.

True enough. There are a couple generations of teachers educated by these purveyors of socialist nonsense and perversion, and they have moved into supervisory roles now, ensuring that as long as they have a base of twisted teachers to hire from, there will be bias in education.
Like with illegal immigration, drugs, and so many other problems, the source, the supply needs to be shut down.
